The mission of Move the Butte is to deepen the connection to ourselves, each other, and the world around us through dance.
Established in 2010
Move the Butte is a showcase community dance production. It features diverse dance styles performed by over 100 local Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley adults.
The show serves our entire community as a supportive, inclusive, and safe environment as well as an opportunity for dancers to perform on stage.
This production showcases many dance styles such as Ballet, Tap, Aerial, Lyrical, Modern, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz, Burlesque, and more!
Approximately 1,200 audience members watch Move the Butte each year, and we encourage any new participants to join us!
